He enjoyed a fine 13-year career as a pro, spending eight seasons with the old WHL Canucks. A smooth-skating, playmaking centre, Duke, whose boyhood idol was Rocket Richard, played 672 WHL games, scoring 226 goals and 253 assists for 479 points. Davey played for many years on the Canucks Alumni team and served on its Board of Directors, as well. He is still an avid golfer at age 72.
