RandyǃÙs a Vancouver native who played for the Burnaby Villas (BCJHL) and was drafted by the Portland Winterhawks (WHL) in 1980. He helped the Hawks to a Memorial Cup championship in 1983, was a Western League All Star in both 1983 and 1984, and was drafted by the New York Rangers (2nd pick, 33rd overall) in 1983. He played two seasons in the New York organization, splitting his time between the Rangers and their American League farm club in New Haven. He then played three seasons in the Swedish Elite League (1986-89) before retiring and returning home to pursue his career as a firefighter. HeǃÙs been with the West Vancouver Fire Department for 15 years now. HeǃÙs also an avid and active member of the Canucks Alumni team.
