Position: Forward
Height: 6-foot-1
Weight: 200 lbs. lbs
Born: Vancouver, BC, Canada
Date: 1955-02-25

Greg began playing hockey at age 10 on Vancouvers north shore but moved to Toronto five years later where he played in the OHL for the Sudbury Wolves and Toronto Marlboros. Tragedy struck Dec. 7/73 when he was struck in the eye by an errant stick resulting in removal of the eye two weeks later. This didnt deter Neeld, however, and he resumed playing hockey two months later. He came west to play for the Calgary Centennials (74-75) and was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres of the NHL and the Minnesota Fighting Saints in 1975. NHL rules regarding limited sight prohibited him from playing for the Sabres, so he opted for the WHA and went to the Toronto Toros for part of the 75-76 campaign. He then played three seasons in the IHL before concluding his career with one season with Herne of the German Hockey League (1979-80). One of the newest members of the Canucks Alumni squad, Greg lives in downtown Vancouver where he works for a mining exploration company.
