Although he played minor hockey on the prairies, this Alberta native is better known for his acting prowess than his hockey talent, as evidenced by a string of movies, stage productions and the 16-year hit TV series ǃ?The Beachcombersǃ?, in which he played the good-natured local police constable. (That famous series was subsequently made into a movie). He often appears in movies that are produced in Vancouver, such as the box-office smash ǃ?Stakeoutǃ?, in which he appears alongside Emilio Estevez and Richard Dreyfuss. His most recent stage production was the golf comedy entitled ǃ?The Foursomeǃ?.He met up with the Canucks Alumni team during a mid-80s benefit hockey game in which he played for a team of Hollywood All Stars. HeǃÙs been a regular with the touring Vancouver alumni team ever since.
