This Lower Mainland native played for the Vancouver Junior Canucks before pursuing a college career at the St. Louis University (Missouri) where he played hockey for the Billicans. He returned home to join the Simon Fraser hockey program and then had a pro stint with Hershey Bears in the American Hockey League and Port Huron in the International circuit. Came home again to win a senior A title with the Burnaby Lakers in 1980. Bingley now works as a firefighter in Burnaby and resides in North Vancouver. One of the most enthusiastic members of the alumni, "Binger" rarely misses a game nor a practice.
